Yulia Shulga, PhD
Dr. Yulia Shulga received her BSc degree from Novosibirsk State University, working in the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics, Novosibirsk, Russia. She obtained her PhD from McMaster University, Canada, in the laboratory of Dr. Richard M. Epand, where she worked on lipid kinases and graduated in 2012 as Valedictorian. Dr. Shulga has been working as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Pier Paolo Pandolfi since November 2014.
Dr. Shulga’s research focuses on studying cancer stem cells and translational changes in cancer to identify novel biomarkers and drug targets for diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
